Walldogs on Nicollet

The Walldogs on Nicollet Project is an exciting project between the Lyndale Neighborhood Association and the Kingfield Neighborhood Association.

The project will involve local and national artists who will come together to paint six to ten murals along Nicollet Avenue from Lake Street to 46th Street in the Lyndale and Kingfield Neighborhoods during July 24th to 27th, 2008.

Do you want to know what the Murals are going to look like?
Do you like having a good time?
Do you like good food and seeing your friends?

This party will be the official unveiling of the designs for this summer’s event.  At the party you’ll be able to see where the murals are going and hear about the artists leading each project.  This will also be your first chance to sign up to help paint specific murals.

This fall we kicked the project off with a weekend of events including the painting a demonstration mural at 34th and Nicollet and a teaser mural at 35th and Nicollet on the weekend of September 15th.

Note: On February 21, 2008 the Fischer Grocery Mural was destroyed in a fire that took this historic building. The entire Walldogs team was saddened by this tragic event, which served to deepen our resolve to make this July a watershed event for our communities. You can read the full statement here
