TNT Building

The TNT Building is located at 3801 Nicollet Avenue.

Theme

The mural on the TNT Building will focus on Minneapolis’ historic street car system.  The area around 38th and Nicollet was a major hub for streetcars in the city and is still a major transit corridor.

Lead Artist - Adam May

Adam May

I am a commercial artist living in Lincoln IL. My formal education includes receiving a BA in Cinema Photography from Southern Illinois University.

I have worked commercially as a photographer since 1999, some past employers include Fuji Film, Crain's Chicago Business, Lincoln Evening Courier, Lincoln College, and AMP Studios.

I opened my own studio in 2001 with an emphasis on commercial photography and graphic design. Since then we have expanded twice and now operate with a three person crew of designers and artists. I also work as a professor of photography at Lincoln College and as a stringer for the Associated Press photo department.

I always dabbled with painting but did not take it seriously until discovering the Letterhead and Walldog movements in 2003. Since then I have hosted Land of Lincoln Walldogs in Lincoln IL, Jacksonville Walldog Extravaganza in Jacksonville Illinois.

I have also Painted two other large murals in Lincoln, IL as well as restoring a feed mill in Algoma Wisconsin. I have attended too many Letterhead meets to count, primarily Walldog events and panel jams. After running the Land of Lincoln Walldog met we began incorporating more painting into my business. This includes smaller scale painting of signs and murals, fleet graphics, as well a pedal car and carousel horse restoration.
